Join Ashley in the studio to make your own puff quilt in large throw size. This class is designed for advanced beginners. You will need to know quilting basics given certain steps will need to take place outside of class.
You will come to your first class with all of the quilt top fabric cut. This includes 360 five-inch squares (you can use charm pack fabric if desired) for the quilt top and 360 4.5" squares of scrap fabric for the back of the pouches. You will lay out and arrange your squares as desired at home and then stack the fabric by row. Detailed step-by-step information and a supply list will be emailed to you after signing up.
During the first class, we will work on sewing and filling pouches to create our quilt tops.
You will then finish your top at home. Prior to the second class, you will need to baste your quilt sandwich.
During the second class, we will quilt the puff quilt by hand tying. We will also discuss binding techniques. You will bind your quilt at home.
Sewing machines will be required for the first class. They will not be needed for the second class. We recommend bringing your own machine. We also have machines available to rent. For rental information, email us at hello@ashandelmquiltery.com.
